Dr. Schmitt received his degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Dentistry, Lincoln, Nebraska in 1982. After a year of general practice in Kansas City, Missouri, he went on to complete an internship and residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at West Virginia University Medical Center. Dr. Schmitt is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American College of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons; he is also member of the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (board certified). |
