Meet Oral Surgeon Dr. Schmitt

Dr. Schmitt received his degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Dentistry, Lincoln, Nebraska in 1982. After a year of general practice in Kansas City, Missouri, he went on to complete an internship and four year residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at West Virginia University Medical Center. His clinical interests include computer guided dental implant reconstruction, wisdom tooth removal, oral pathology, maxillofacial trauma and virtual 3D maxillofacial planning.  Dr. Schmitt enjoys being with friends and family, running, computers, and medical missions. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American College of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons; he is also a member of the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association, Christian Medical and Dental Association, American Society of Dental Anesthesiology and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (board certified). He is on active staff at Adena Health System in Chillicothe and courtesy staff at Berger Hospital Circleville, Ohio.
